“Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods?
Who is like You, glorious in holiness,
Fearful in praises, doing wonders?
-Exodus 15:10

Who really is like our God. How easy we forget the awesomeness of God. Most times when we read the Bible especially the exodus story we find ourselves wondering why the Israelites were not grateful and went back several times to worship other gods despite the many wondrous works they have seen God perform for them.

We however do same. We have many prayer requests. We keep demanding and asking for more. What we fail to do is go back to say “thank you”, and even when we sometimes say it, we are only in a hurry (and do not mean it) so we make our next request. How riled up we are when we do good to people and they do not show gratitude but we for some reason feel God doesn’t get emotional and angry at our ingratitude and lack of thankfulness.

We saw how the world was suddenly turned on its head when Corona Virus came on the scene. But in all this confusion, we saw God protect, provide, shelter, save, and keep us. In, Africa we were given the doom sentence that projected many dying on the streets. How wonderful has His protection been? How awesome His sovereignty is. We can’t be ungrateful. In fact whose report would we believe? That we were served a sentence of doom but here we are in good health in spite of it all.

I speak boldly on His grace. His wonderful love. The peace in the middle of great chaos. His divine healing. I don’t think I believed in miracles as much until He lifted His arm, then I knew Him as RAPHA. I didn’t know him thoroughly until, I went to Him in distress and He became my SONG.

We shouldn’t take his love for granted. In all situations lets endeavor to see Him in it. If we are to pay money for his daily benefits, we wouldn’t be able to afford it. Let us take a pause on the life’s journey and shout, “HALLELUJAH!! OUR KING, HE REIGNS FOREVER. HIS PRAISE SHALL NEVER DEPART FROM OUR LIPS AND HEARTS.

Have a prayer journal and document all your prayers and answers received. At the end of every month go through it. I promise you, by God’s grace you will see how large and big God is. Be intentional from now on. We won’t end on a bad note for our God is awesome in power and FEARSOME in praise. Keep praising him this year. Change the Formula. Praise Him and watch Him become EXCESSIVELY bigger than your many prayer requests and needs.
