Why Obey?

You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.” -Deuteronomy 4:40

Our God we know is a generous God for He never asks us to do anything without preparing a reward for us. Do as He says, follow His voice or principles in your marriage and you shall enjoy every good fruit that marriage has to offer. Follow his voice at your work place, and it shall go well with you. Obey him, in relation to your parents and your children shall also prosper. Every instruction the Lord gives is not to burden us but rather pave the way for us to prosper

This is the best offer any one of us can wish for, that is, obey the instructions of our Lord and receive benefits that will better our very own lives.
