But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Waiting, to be honest is a very difficult thing to do most of the time. There are so many things that we have asked of God through faith and are waiting to see their manifestation but we have to WAIT to have them. The waiting period is a period that can really test one’s faith. It is not that you had no faith, you may even have had such great faith but waiting can sometimes drain you if you are not watchful.

Your environment (people inclusive) can really test your faith during the waiting period but you have to pay no heed to them. The fact may be you not having in your hand that which you professed through faith BUT the Truth is, God is working on your behalf to get it to you. It is only what God says that matters. As the songwriter said “God no go shame us”, thus He will definitely come through for us.

Sometimes God makes us wait because He is preparing us for a task ahead or we are not ready to be good stewards of that which we ask and as such, the waiting process is a grooming and growth process for us. Consider Joseph, son of Jacob and Prime Minister of Egypt. This young man before getting to his position as the Prime Minister, had to wait on God and go through slavery, stewardship, and prison to get to his post and we all knew how prepared he was when he got there.

The fact may be you not having in your hand that which you professed through faith BUT the Truth is, God is working on your behalf to get it to you

Search through your mind and you will realise how many situations you easily overcame because you had been groomed to overcome through a previous and similar situation. What doesn’t kill you will surely make you stronger. Waiting will not kill you and as such will only build you up and make you stronger.

Waiting is not pleasant. It is difficult but whiles we wait, we need to make sure we are learning what God wants us to learn in that period. We have to make sure that we are fully ready and prepared when that breakthrough comes, because it will. “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”(Habakkuk 2:3)

God bless you.
