Just as a model is something that represents an inspirational ideal, a role model is someone who inspires others to imitate his or her good behavior. Parents try to be role models for their children by being good people. A famous person who gives money to charity or helps sick children is a role model. Jesus Christ (Son of God who came to die for our sins and give man the gift of salvation) is the best role model we all could ever choose because He is perfect in every way the Bible tells us. He is God’s loving Son and came to earth to save us all. Ephesians 5: 1-2 says, Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.“ Jesus died to save us and please His Father God. Since we want to please God as well, then we should love and follow His Son, Jesus
He is the perfect role model because of His love for all of us — so much so that He gave Himself on the cross, so we could be forgiven our sins. He healed people of whatever they needed wherever He went and showed them what it really meant to love.
Think about what you do and say as you live your life from today. Try to pick good friends and role models always. There is a saying that says, “Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future.” We all want a great future, so one way to encourage that is to pick great people to try to emulate and I boldly recommend Jesus Christ.
