Ascending the throne is definitely one thing we all will love to do and aim to do. We see all of the glory and luxury that comes with being close to the corridors of power that we desire it as well. The King enthrones you and He can always dethrone you, not because it was or is His desire but because we chose to be dethroned.

He who enthrones, is the One whome you should seek to please. Being enthroned means you are subject to the one who conferred onto you such glory and power. In looking at the first Chapter of the Book of Esther we see the cause for which Vashti was dethroned. Vashti refused to give glory to the King who enthroned her and as such she got dethroned.

Beloved, I believe we all want to be in that higher calling and enjoy but in that calling, will you respond positively when you are called? Will you reverence your king? Will you pay homage to your source? One thing j found interesting in the case of Queen Vashti is in the verse 9 of chapter 1 which reads “Queen Vashti also made a feast for the women in the royal palace WHICH BELONGED TO  King Ahasuerus.” Do you see it? The place she was when she decided to disobey the King, belonged to the King and I believed she had forgotten that.

The king will come calling on you to show your crown so His glory in you may be seen and as such glorify you in turn. When God presented Job to satan in the book of Job, Job wore his crown proudly and stood for the name of his King and as such he was glorified even more than he already was. Imagine just how the name of Vashti would have resonated through all of the empire if she had  come wearing her crown. Songs would have been sang of her beauty, her majesty, and her grace, for many many years.

Do not allow yourself to be taken over by pride and as disrespect the One who placed you where you are now. He who enthrones can always dethrone you. I leave you with this, honor, reverence, respect the authority of the One who has enthroned you.

God richly bless you.
