Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it. Genesis 4:7 NIV
The Lord expects excellence from us as a Church and as Christians but we keep making excuses. Some say the “church is a hospital” and so refuse to pull their weight to get better and to do right. After all if we will always be cared for, why do the needful to get better. Should one not seek to be better and not offend others or step on others toes instead of excusing their rude and offensive acts by stating their only humans and the church is a hospital and we are all patients that need care?
By the grace of God, we can rule over those acts and habits, and sins that threaten to dominate our peace, delay our blessings and make an already difficult walk more tedious. Take the word of God above and purpose in your heart to do well. In doing well by grace, we can all beat the snake called sin. In doing well by grace, we create peace in our dwelling places and places of meeting.
