It is imperative that you know the one who made you and how he made you. It is important that you know what He says about you. You need to know who He says you are, because that is WHO YOU ARE.

In my family, my siblings and I attribute a lot of our traits to our parents. For instance, my little sister has my mom’s confident sense of style and I have my mom’s mannerisms, but my dad’s reserved nature. No matter how much people may compare you with others, you are family more than anyone.

I’m saying all this to tell you that, there is someone that you truly resemble and that person is your maker. You resemble the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You can’t resemble the world when you are not of the world.

Your identity comes from God. That is where it comes from. That is where your looks are from, and that is where your personality is from. You are so special because you are from a special King.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139 vs 14) You are more than opinions and popular sentiments; you are unique, fearfully and wonderfully made; you are who God says you are (Gal 1 vs 10)

Stop comparing yourself to the world, because you won’t find any resemblance. Look to Jesus; Seek God and find your true self.
