Jesus is our hall mark of excellence and emulation. In all our doings, we must access ourselves daily to know if we are on track or not.

Our idenitiy in God is based on how God sees us. As we fight with human-thorns of;  “insecurities, anger, sexual sins, Jealousy, bitterness, anxiety, durg addiction and abuse, porn addiction, inflated egos etc, we need to allow God speak his word through the scriptures into our lives.

In years passed, there have been so many self help books, talk shows, conferences and a whole lot because a wrong identity leads to sin. If we don’t see ourselves as God sees us, how do we honour Him?

Some of these shows have encouraged self-indulging techniques of : making ourselves the focus, cutting people off for errors that we are also prone on committing.

We would think that choosing ourselves First and doing all these “Me! Me! Me! Thing” would somehow solve the identity crisis. Time has proven that these don’t work. Suicide keeps going up, more vices, Wickedness keeps increasing, adultery, divorces, incest are all on the rise.

What is the cure for these skewed identities and how do we move from Me to US, yet maintaining godly boundaries as well as fulfilling His call on our lives without getting burnt out and bitter?
It’s very easy to get there because as humans, we can’t be pleased.

THE HOLY SPIRIT. He is the cure. It’s time we engaged Him and allowed Him to lead us. In John 15:26, Jesus promises to send the Holy Spirit. What will He do?

1.Comfort us.

2.He will lead us into the TRUTHS; the truths are God’s word. He will enlighten us. He will break the seal on the words so we understand. As we understand, we can put the word into practice.

3.He will come from God Himself. Meaning, he will make heaven in our hearts and tell us all about how to please God.

In 1Corinthians 13, God gives us the everlasting antedote, LOVE. He shows us how to love by giving us attributes of love. All shall pass away but Love.

Lastly, in 1 John 4:8 our true identity is found there, “But if a person isn’t loving and kind, it shows that he doesn’t know God, for God is love.”

Beloved let us love, for love is of God. To know God is to love.
Selah!!!
