A time to kill, And a time to heal; Ecclesiastes 3:3a

A time to kill is not about taking the life of another. If you do, you will surely go to jail, and God will ensure that happens. God is not interested in you killing anyone. Besides, He even says vengeance is His in Deuteronomy 32:35.

“A time to kill” simply means to silence the whispers that muddle your head and cause your heart to act out of place. Time to kill is a time to shut out the multitude of viewpoints and beliefs that simply add to your problems rather than providing you with relief and liberty. Kill those voices in the world that teach you doctrines that contradict God’s commands. Yes, you were hurt, but that voice telling you to cling on to the agony must be silenced. That voice that tells you you’re worthless because you made a mistake should be silenced.

Beloved, silence that voice and create time for healing. Make time to heal from any hurts, pains, or abuse you may have experienced. Those experiences do not define you. Those experiences must have an impact on your desire to heal. Why deny yourself healing when Yahweh Rapha is your God? God desires that you be healed and not kept back by bitterness, anger, or even unforgiveness. Even worldly philosophies advise us to forgive since it benefits us more than the perpetrators.

Today, take a deep breath and ask Jesus to heal you of any infirmity. Ask God to help relieve your agony, and He will. There will be many more frustrating and devastating circumstances ahead of you, and it will serve no purpose to continue to harbour bad emotions. Let go and let love fill you up. Kill the fleshly desire to hold onto anguish and hurts, and let God’s healing mercy flow through you. A happy you is a healthier you.

Prayer: Father, remove any grief, bitterness, and hurt from my heart, and let me embrace your healing grace at all times. Allow me to be filled with love and feel the delight of releasing my burdens into your care. Amen.
